- Topcoat, two coatsPolyasparticPolyaspartic is a polyurea, chemically speaking, with the cure slowed down enough to be workable by hand. It is the top of our build and it is the reason a floor can go down in a day and still be there in fifteen years.
- Basecoat, one coatPolyureaThe basecoat is the layer nobody ever sees and the one that decides whether the floor stays attached. Polyurea goes down straight onto the ground slab, soaks into the open profile, and stays flexible after it cures.
- Broadcast layer, into the wet basecoatFlake floorsFlake is the layer you look at. Coloured vinyl chips are thrown into the wet basecoat until the floor will not take any more, then scraped back and locked under two clear topcoats.
- Decorative alternative to a flake broadcastMetallic finishesMetallic finishes use pigments that move in the wet resin to give depth and marbling. They photograph extremely well. They are also the finish we talk people out of most often, so here is the honest version.
